Do we mix in with other groups?
Yes. We run games of up to 50/60 paintball players. Unlike every other site we know of and to ensure you get the chance to shoot all your friends as well as some strangers we mix you and your group around -either by having odd versus even numbers or we have one third of the total group defending a position (i.e. The Fort) against the other two thirds.
-
Does it hurt?
If you are shot at very close range by a paintball it does sting -it's enough to give you the incentive to not to get shot by another paintball! But not enough to put you off your game of paintball (unless you have a very, very low pain threshold).
-
Is it safe?
Yes. Paintball is as safe as any active participant sport can be. Providing that you observe the basic safety regulations, the worst you will end up with is a few scratches and bruises. We have and have every intention of keeping an extremely good safety record. A trained first aid person is always on site.
-
Is the game affected by the weather?
Conditions affect paintball in the slightest. Many say "the worse the weather - the better the fun". You may get wet while playing paintball but you won't notice -the excitement and adrenaline more than compensate for inclement weather conditions. Don’t forget, while you’re not playing paintball you’ll be in the weatherproof safe zones and there is always a hot cup of tea or coffee waiting back at the admin area.

What are the rules?
The rules to a paintball game are minimal. There are regulations to ensure your safety and a set of simple rules designed to enhance your enjoyment of the paintball game. A lecture setting out the safety and game rules, as well as the operation of the paintball weapons, is given before the start of the day's play. Umpires explain the game scenarios and boundaries for each game and then keep a watchful eye on the play.

What do you need to bring?
We strongly recommend that you play in a comfortable pair of boots or trainers. Old sweatshirts and jeans are sufficient to be worn under our overalls and a pair of gloves is advisable to cover your hands. If you want to look like a veteran paintball player to psyche out the opposition, bring your own combat kit. Also bring a change of clothing for the journey home.

What is a paintball wargame?
Paintball is derived from a training technique used by armed forces all over the world. The objectives are the development of teamwork and leadership skills under the stress of being shot at and beating the clock. The concept has been adapted into one of the most exciting and FUN participant sports in the country. In this ever compelling game -strategy, stealth and teamwork are used by opposing teams in order to achieve set objectives. Our paintball site in Tavistock is second to none in the South West -giving our players more scenarios and game variations than any of our competition.

Who can play?
Anyone 14 years of age (14 and 15 year olds require parents consent) who has a sense of adventure can play paintball. You’ll need to have a basic level of fitness to play paintball or laser combat and wish to spend a day participating in what will certainly be the most stimulating game you are ever likely to have played. If bruising or physical exertion could result in a medical problem (skin conditions, heart/respiratory problems etc), paintball and laser combat may not be the sports for you.
